July 15th Meeting

Once again a great turnout for the discussion group!

The group read two short stories Lovecraft wrote while he was very young. The Little Glass Bottle which he wrote when he was 7 and The Beast In The Cave which he wrote at age 15. Given his young age everyone in the group agreed that the stories were well written. We spent a little more time talking about The Beast In The Cave because it had several examples of common themes that Lovecraft would continue to use throughout his writing career.

Our next meeting will be held on August 12th at 6:30 – 7:30. We will be reading two short stories, The Rats in the Walls and The Picture in the House.
